JUDGE WALDRIP RECEIVES JUDICIAL EXCELLENCE AWARD
CHEYENNE – The Wyoming State Bar and the Wyoming Supreme Court are pleased to announce that the Honorable Wade E. Waldrip, Second Judicial District Court Judge in Rawlins, is this year’s recipient of the Larry L. Lehman Award for Judicial Excellence.
The award was presented at this year’s Annual Meeting & Judicial Conference, which took place last week at Little America in Cheyenne.

The award was presented by Chief Justice E. James Burke. The Lehman Award is given in memory of Justice Lehman, who died in 2004, and is remembered for his tireless efforts to improve the operation of the court system to provide greater access to justice for all Wyoming citizens.

Judge Waldrip, who received his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Wyoming, was engaged in private practice in Thermopolis and Rawlins from 1981 to 2000, when he was appointed by former Governor Jim Geringer to be Circuit Court Judge for the Second Judicial District, Carbon County. Judge Waldrip served in that capacity until 2004, when he was appointed District Court Judge for the Second Judicial District by former Governor Dave Freudenthal.
